The History Of Random I Am | ![]() |
| The history on the boys from Random I Am Random I Am fisrt came together as a Yr. 9 music project. Everyone in the band were good freinds with each other but never thought about making a band till our music teacher Mr. Frank DeRosso gave us our project for group peformance. We had to play Sliver by Nirvana and Bro Hym Tibute by Pennywise. The line up then was: Steve Gatter-Vocals Tim Slattery-Guitar Daniel Stokes-Gitar Luke Mithchell-Bass Locky Ross-Drums After a couple of weeks we started to develop and Steve was out of the band. We called upon one of Tim's good freinds and our new singer was Xav Nairn. Xav sang for a good 6 months put never really liked punk. Kicking him out was one of the hardest things for the band to do to date. After much discussion we gave Josh Rudd a go with the mic. He sang at the talent quest and he proved to us that he could not sing. At this stage in late '99 the band didn't know where they were going. We sat down and had another line up change that has been for the best and is still the current line up. It is Daniel Stokes-Vocals, Bass Tim Slattery-Guitar Luke Mitchell-Guitar Locky Ross-Drums As we entered the new millenium, Random I Am got a step for the best for a hard and dedicated work ethic. Daniel and Tim proved to work well with the song writing. On May 19 2000 we had our first pub gig at the Railway Hotel with a set of 50 minutes containing mainly originals and a couple of covers. In the winter of 2000 we recorded our first CD at Pan Studios in Newtown. We have since then benn playing gigs around Geelong. That is the story so far. |
